Guwahati: Six oil tanker bogies of a goods train derailed between Harengajao and Migrandisa in central Assam's Dima Hasao district on Tuesday disrupting rail traffic movement.

Northeast Frontier Railway officials said the tankers carrying petroleum products jumped the tracks this morning on the Lumding-Badarpur section. However, none was injured.

The engine of the train was not damaged as the tankers were six bogies behind it, they said.

The derailment disrupted movement of trains, including Agartala-Lumding Express, Barak Valley Express and other local trains at different places.

The train services are expected to be restored tonight with the removal of the derailed goods train from the tracks, the officials added.
