Stray incidents of violence during a bandh hit normal life in central Assam districts on Monday.
The bandh has been called jointly by All Tiwa Students Union and Karbi Students Union for a separate autonomous council for Tiwas under the provisions of the sixth schedule of Constitution and scheduled tribe status to Karbis living in the plain districts of Assam.
